Nationwide — Two Frontier Airlines check-in agents lost their jobs after a video of them mocking a passenger at a North Carolina airport went viral. The footage showed a tense exchange as the customer tried to check in for a flight to Boston.
According to TMZ, the situation escalated when the customer was told he had to pay a $25 fee to check in at the counter. He questioned the charge, which led to an argument. The agents refused to process his check-in and repeatedly mocked him, saying, “And you thought you was gonna get on your flight.”
The customer recorded the exchange on his phone. In response, the agents also began filming him. The argument grew louder as both sides continued recording, and the standoff attracted online attention once the video was shared.
Frontier Airlines confirmed that the agents involved were not directly employed by the airline but by a third-party contractor. The company said the workers are no longer associated with the Frontier account.
The airline also took steps to resolve the issue with the passenger. He was refunded for his original flight and reimbursed for the alternative flight he had to book to get home.
