The Score: 6.5 out of 10
Set in the late 1990s, once a year a group of men choose to hunt human targets on a remote island. A developer and his mistress retreat to a getaway cottage where they are taken hostage, brought to the island, and hunted for sport.
The action scenes are well enough done that overall the film works. The chase scenes and shootout are better than similar scenes in a lot of low-budget films. The blood, explosions, and muzzle flashes don’t look as cartoonish as in a lot of those films either.
Death Hunt, while flawed, is still a decent way to kill an evening !
