This hype was recently taken to the next level when Netflix announced that actress Lera Abova will be joining the cast as the widely popular Miss All Sunday, also known as Nico Robin, one of the future members of the Straw Hat Pirates. Abova joining the cast was a big deal, as she is going to play one of the most important roles in the entire narrative.
However, it seems that she is already done with her part as Nico Robin in One Piece live-action season 2. She recently shared a post that claimed that she has completed the shooting for her scenes in the upcoming storyline for the One Piece live-action series.
Lera Abova’s Casting Attracted A Lot of Attention
For the past few months, Netflix and One Piece live-action have been grabbing the attention of fans by revealing some of the greatest castings in the series. From Crocodile to Nefertari D. Vivi, the showrunners have disclosed the new actors who will join the cast, and one of them is Lera Abova, who will portray Nico Robin, one of the most important characters in One Piece.
Abova has worked on many major projects like Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin, Anna, etc. Her casting as Nico Robin was announced at the Netflix Geeked Week 2024, along with Joe Manganiello, who will portray the character of Crocodile in the upcoming season. Both are extremely crucial for the Alabasta Saga, which is one of the most significant narratives.

Abova’s inclusion in the One Piece live-action attracted a lot of attention, as some fans were not happy with her casting in the series. However, she feels like the perfect actress to play the role of the Devil Child and will surely do justice to Robin’s character in the live-action series.
Lera Abova Has Completed Her Part As Nico Robin
Abova recently revealed that she is done with the shooting of her role as Nico Robin in One Piece live-action season 2.

However, Abova might not have much screen time in the second season of Netflix’s One Piece to begin with. This was hinted at by Eiichiro Oda himself when he revealed the arcs that will be covered in the second season of the One Piece adaptation. A few months ago, Oda shared a heartfelt message with his fans regarding the live-action adaptation, where he cleared a lot of things.
The mangaka pointed out that One Piece live-action season 2 will only cover Loguetown, Reverse Mountain (Twin Cape), Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, and Drum Island arcs. This states that the second season most likely won’t portray the most important arc of the second One Piece saga, the Alabasta arc. Thus, Abova’s role will be quite limited in the upcoming season.
