North West raps in FKA Twigs new music video after controversial Kanye and Diddy track

Kanye West’s daughter North’s rap career is continuing to thrive as she was seen flawlessly rapping in FKA Twigs’ new music video ‘Childlike Things.’

This week the 11-year-old rapper was featured in FKA Twig’s new track where showed off her talents with a verse rapping fluently in Japanese. In the new song the pair sing of connecting with your child-like innocence on the dance floor, in lyrics that FKA Twigs originally wrote when she was 13 years old.

In the fun playful video, the two are seen singing and showing off their eccentric dance moves together under a bright, light blue lit room. North is seen sporting a over-the-top outfit featuring a massive white furry coat, sparkly silver glasses, and chunky necklaces and a stack of rings.

Translated from Japanese, North West sings: “I’ve got supersonic powers that are polyphonic / Like a chocolate teapot. She later adds: Where the wild things are I will be / Lost in a world of childlike things and tragedies / Dreams breaking their hearts / Can cross seven seas.”

North’s appearance in the music video comes as she was also recently featured in a controversial new song alongside her father Kanye and Sean “P. Diddy” Combs. The song titled ‘Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine’ opens with disgraced rapper Diddy — who is currently jailed in New York — on the phone with Kanye telling him that it “meant so much” that the rapper took care of his children while he was away.

Kanye then replies: “Yeah, absolutely, I love you so much, man. It’s like, you raised me.” Later, Kanye’s daughter drops in and sings the short verse: “When you see me shinin’, then you see the light.”

The track was met with fierce backlash online from both fans and North’s mother Kim Kardashian. Before the song’s release, Kim allegedly begged Kanye to not drop the song and threatened legal action if he did so. Despite her cries to remove North from the track, Kanye still released the song along with screenshots that reportedly show texts with Kim asking him not to.
