There’s been speculation that Priest, the 2011 post-apocalyptic action thriller, is finally receiving a sequel after years of fan anticipation. Titled Priest 2: Faithless Dawn, the film could take the franchise to new heights with its gritty narrative and the addition of Tom Hardy in a leading role. If whispers are true, Faithless Dawn picks up several years after the events of the first movie, where humanity fought against an ancient vampire scourge. Paul Bettany is expected to reprise his role as the nameless warrior priest, now struggling to reconcile his faith with the devastating choices he made to protect humanity. Tom Hardy reportedly joins the franchise as Gabriel Cross, a mysterious rogue priest with a dark past and questionable allegiance. Together, the two priests could embark on a perilous journey to confront an even deadlier breed of vampires that threaten to plunge the remnants of humanity into eternal darkness.
